About the Show

Continuing the 30 year tradition of managing fine antique shows on Nantucket, The Antiques Council is presenting the fourth annual Nantucket Summer Antiques Show which  will take place at the Nantucket Boys and Girls Club from August 2-5, 2019. The club provides an air-conditioned space with the best conveniences and ample parking in a central location easily accessible by car, foot, bike and bus.

Marty Shapiro, President of the Antiques Council, summed up the enthusiasm surrounding this show, "There has always been a very strong market on the island for fine quality antiques. With this new show our exhibitors will be able to continue bringing their best examples to their best clients.This show will encompass the rich history of Nantucket with a focus on the needs and interests of the islands homeowners and visitors today."

About the Boys & Girls Club

To empower the youth of Nantucket to realize their full potential

Since 1945 the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club has provided space, activities and supervision for the island's children to come together in a safe supervisored environment to learn, do homework, develop social skills, participate in sports and develop their creativity.

In 2014/15 the Club expanded its facity to include an airconditioned double gymnasium and the Nantucket Summer Antiques Show is forturnate to be able to use this impressive new facility.

About the Antiques Council

The Antiques Council is a professional association of antique dealers that mandates the highest ethical and professional standards. Members are selected by their peers for the quality of their merchandise, their expertise, and integrity.

There are currently more than 70 dealer members throughout the North America, Europe and the United Kingdom. Membership is by invitation only, and all members are evaluated annually. Each member is required to perform the following tasks when selling an item:

  • Provide a written invoice that includes age, origin, construction, and disclosure of condition
  • Guarantee every item to be as described.
  • Make a full refund if the description proves to misrepresent the item (provided that the antique is returned in the same condition in which it was sold).
